A few quick facts about the West End Association:
  • Formed by West End property owners in the mid-1970's in an effort to revive the area.
  • Instrumental in getting the West End on the Historical Registry and declared a Historic District.
  • Instrumental in establishing the West End Tax Increment Financing District.
  • Published the book "The History of the West End"
  • Purchased bikes and bullet proof vests for the City bike officers.
  • Championed the narrowing of S. Main Street and Pendleton Streets from 4 to 2 lanes.
  • Spearheaded the effort that resulted in the property swap between the Greenville County School District and the City of Greenville paving the way of the development of the downtown baseball stadium.

West End Association

The West End Association is composed of business and property owners and residents in the historic West End district. The mission of the organization is to unite businesses, residents, and property owners in working together and with the City of Greenville for the continued vitality of the West End. Essentially – working together for a prosperous West End!
 
The West End Association Board meets monthly at the offices of C. Dan Joyner Commercial, 24 Vardry Street, Suite 401, and the meetings are open to the entire association.  They also have an annual meeting open to the public.  This open meeting may be attended by any interested parties. The only requirement: a genuine interest in the health and prosperity of the West End.
 
Membership is easy. Complete the West End Association Membership Application and mail it to the following address:  The West End Association; PO Box 141; Greenville, SC  29602.
